Day 028 : Obsession

It is crazy enuf for me to spend over RM40 for stationery in less than 10 minutes shopping. Did it during last minutes of my lunch break after our lunch at Banana Leaf with Luf. I was feeling unstable emotionally since yesterday and I need my therapy. So this is it! I am feeling like brand new me now!

Day 027 : Supper

Not really such a good habit though but we were both starving after shooting and we decided to have some treat. It's wasn't as nice as I hope it was. The meat to thick and does not taste like grill at all. The mushroom was okay. But the thing that I love about it - they serve wedges instead of just the normal price and also they give sweet steam corn.....

Day 025 : Colored Lighters

This is a new collection items for Luf and I - since I am an orange, so the orange one is the leading color in this photograph.

Day 023 : Portable Toilet

The FT Day Celebration is on-going At Labuan Square, I think they have a big event for this as they will be doing the "closing ceremony" around this week and next week - everyday they will have show and so and on 26th will be finale.

So, earlier Luf and I went to bluewave to deliver the DVD Digital Negative for "Love Affair" Party. We parked our car at the usual space and spotted, this colorful boxes.
I is very thoughtful of the organiser to provide portable toilet.
In previous years, I don't recall they have this.
For such a big event - expected to have lots of people coming and their is no public toilet nearby?
I hope this is really a portable toilet and not a portable changing room for the artist!

But the odd part is that, this thingy was placed right in front of the Melting Pot Restaurant.
What are they thinking?

DAY 022 : Lens Cleaning

This is our tamron lens 17-50mm f2.8 that has some alien in it
at first Luf though of sending it back for servicing but yesterday he changed his mind
he wants to clean it himself,
so earlier this morning, he went to the hardware store and get his tools.
Within five minutes, he managed to get it clean up.
As good as new now.
A five minutes job that could be ended weeks of waiting to hold it back if we were to send it out for repairs.

So, now you have somewhere to go locally if your lens gets dirty.

Till then.
~xoxo~

Day 021 : Happy Valentine's Day

I am late for a bit for my day 021 post
please excuse me - was out with Luf for Valentine's date
the reason why I didn't post earlier cuz I want to post something from our date night out.
We went to Cheers first but place was too dark to take any subject,
specially when shooting iphone - no flash to assist.

So this picture was taken from Fun Pub, Dorsett
The entrance of the pub - they put this beautiful welcoming deco.

Happy Valentine's Day
dear all.

Spread the LOVE and make peace.
Let's take a moment to pray and ask for the peace for our world.
May all of us surrounded with love that brings us peaceful.
Amen

Well, you will never guess what is this.... I can't believe it myself either.
Do you have a guava tree around you?
If you do, take a closer look at the flower bloom before it turn to be the fruit - this is it!
Ha'ah - there you are....
Even our naked eyes also cant tell that details right.
That's the power of a macro lens.

Day 016 : Love Affairs

I am running out of juice already - it's only on my day 15.
A very last minutes idea just pop up to my head when I saw these two Airasia Pen from my collective item box.
Spicing up my idea, it is in pair and V-day is just around the corner.

It's almost mid-night and I thought that I would miss a post - and that happens,
looks like this project is going down.

But that is so not happening - at least not for now.
Cuz Love is in the air - and that's what save my day.

~~ Hope you feel the love too ~~

xoxo

Day 015 : Quicker Oatmeal

Quicker Oatmeal for lunch peeps?
Not kidding - nothing even close to that cuz I am seriously serious!
Every or off lunch hour this will be on my desk with lots of reading materials.
Quicking between the oaths and my study reading materials.
My friend once said to me - that's is heavily not healthy girl.
Well, what can I do right, I see it as a balance of life when the is time like chasing over you.
Way off limit!

no sharing of facts for today, sorry guys.

Day 013 : Ladybugs

Here we are - so lucky to have this opportunity to find this ladybug today and so happenly we have a macro lens with us. As I mentioned in my ladyshutterbugz's page, macro lens is belonging to a friend, Dave and he let us hang on to it - he intend to sell but not in a hurry.

I am obsessed with ladybug if you must know and that is why I am putting my co-sign in photography as "ladySHUTTERbugz" - you get it, right?

Okay - cut the story short, let's move on to the informative segment.
After googling - I found two page that given me good information about ladybug.

Source:

Coccinellidae is a family of beetles, known variously as ladybirds (UK, Ireland, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, India, Malta, some parts of Canada and the US), or ladybugs (North America). Scientists increasingly prefer the names ladybird beetles or lady beetles[1] as these insects are neither birds nor true bugs. Lesser-used names include ladyclocklady cow, and lady fly.[2]
Coccinellids are small insects, ranging from 1 mm to 10 mm (0.04 to 0.4 inches), and are commonly yellow, orange, or scarlet with small black spots on their wing covers, with black legs, head and antennae. A very large number of coccinellidspecies are mostly, or entirely, black, grey, or brown and may be difficult for non-entomologists to recognize as coccinellids. Conversely, there are many small beetles that are easily mistaken for coccinellids, such as the tortoise beetles.
Coccinellids are found worldwide, with over 5,000 species described,[3] more than 450 native to North America alone.
A few species are considered pests in North America and Europe, but they are generally considered useful insects as many species feed on aphids or scale insects, which are pests in gardens, agricultural fields, orchards, and similar places.Harmonia axyridis (or the Harlequin ladybug) was introduced into North America from Asia in 1988 to control aphids but is now the most common species as it is out-competing many of the native species.[4] It has since spread to much of western Europe, reaching the UK in 2004.[4][5]
A common myth is that the number of spots on the insect's back indicates its age.[6][7
Many people are fond of ladybugs because of their colorful, spotted appearance. But farmers love them for their appetite. Most ladybugs voraciously consume plant-eating insects, such as aphids, and in doing so they help to protect crops. Ladybugs lay hundreds of eggs in the colonies of aphids and other plant-eating pests. When they hatch, the ladybug larvae immediately begin to feed. By the end of its three-to-six-week life, a ladybug may eat some 5,000 aphids.
Ladybugs are also called lady beetles or, in Europe, ladybird beetles. There are about 5,000 different species of these insects, and not all of them have the same appetites. A few ladybugs prey not on plant-eaters but on plants. The Mexican bean beetle and the squash beetle are destructive pests that prey upon the crops mentioned in their names.
Ladybugs appear as half-spheres, tiny, spotted, round or oval-shaped domes. They have short legs and antennae.
Their distinctive spots and attractive colors are meant to make them unappealing to predators. Ladybugs can secrete a fluid from joints in their legs which gives them a foul taste. Their coloring is likely a reminder to any animals that have tried to eat their kind before: "I taste awful." A threatened ladybug may both play dead and secrete the unappetizing substance to protect itself.

Day 012 : Pantene

Let's talk about shampoo now - I am only using two shampoo in particular and this is one of them.
This is not my primary shampoo but in case the primary one not available, this would be my second best option.
But today - I pick up slightly different from usual - ANTI DANDRUFF.
Eversince I went for hair re-bonding, my dandruff gotten worse than ever.
So it's about time to try out this type of shampoo to treat the bad dandruff.

Okay enough of that being said, as what I promised to myself - on every post, we shall learn a lit more about what's in the picture.

Let's do it.

Dandruff is also known as Scurf or Pityriasis Simplex Capillitii - affects the scalp and causes flakes of skin to appear. It is a common condition. Our skin cells are forever renewing themselves.

When the skin cells on our scalp are renewed, the old ones are pushed to the surface and out of the scalp. For a person with dandruff, this means the renewal process for them is faster than others - more dead skin is shed that making the dandruff more noticeable. Dandruff also may occur if our scalp is oftenly exposed to extreme temperatures. (I bet this explained why my dundraff is never get any better - Labuan is to hot!).

But, even-so being said that dandruff is a common condition, we should not take it lightly as it could be chronical (long-term) or resulting to a certain stage of other damage or problem - for an example, when we have very bad dandruff problem - we could end up losing self-confident, meeting people and always worrying about the white flakes on shirt etc. Not to mentioned that is could lead to another serious issue like when the flaking is excessive - that could caused an underlying illness or condition, such as proriasis, a fungal infection (Malassezia), seborrheic dermatitis, or even head lice. It is clear and rational to conclude that it is crucial to treat dandruff problem physiologicaly and psychologicaly more seriously because it may affect both as I explained early.

The above information I wrote through my understanding after reading the article in medical news today. They have explained more in detailed there and if you are keen to know more, don't be shy - just click here!

Day 011 : Crocs

At times, we have to spend more money to get something comfy. I hope that will the case for most of us, not to chase over the brand instead. I am honestly not a brand freak but I do at times spend a little more on branded stuffs for the quality and comfortability.

Well, it should be that way though.

Since I am sharing my friend's crocs thingy with his red socks, perhaps we should do some reading about it. Here some history of CROCS taken from Crocs Malaysia. Happy reading - ooh and if you are up for some shopping, you can shop online there too.

It all started in July 2002, in Boulder , Colorado when George Boedecker, Scott Seamans and Duke Hanson decided to market an unusual shoe developed and manufactured by Foam Creations, Inc.
Originally intended as a boating/outdoor shoe because of its slip-resistant, non-marking sole, Crocs™ introduced it’s first Beach Model in November 2002 at the Florida Boat Show and sold out in two days. From there, popularity mushroomed. Sales poured in. By 2003 Crocs had become a bona-fide phenomenon, universally accepted as an all purpose shoe for comfort and fashion.
From 2003-2004 Crocs focused on accommodating our remarkable growth while maintaining control. We expanded our product line, added a warehouse and a shipping operation for speedy assembly and delivery, hired a senior management team and acquired Foam Creations. Today, Crocs are available all over the world and on the internet as we continue to significantly expand all aspects of our business.
Despite our rapid success, we still stand behind to the core values of Crocs Footwear. We are committed to making a lightweight, comfortable, slip-resistant, fashionable and functional shoe that can be produced quickly and at an affordable cost to our customers. We thank you for your support and look forward to providing you with exciting new Crocs designs in the years to come.
